What are the best carbohydrates for type 2 diabetes

When talking about carbohydrates and which ones in particular are good or best for a diabetic diet. Remember one thing, all carbs will turn to sugar, some faster than others, there are no best carbs but there are some that will work a lot slower in your system and will give your blood sugar control system a better chance of catching up.
The carbohydrates that will do you the biggest favour or rather, kick your arse the least are carbs from the following food groups.

  • Unrefined grains and oats

  • Pulses and legumes such as kidney beans and lentils

  • Nuts, walnuts, macadamias. (watch out for peanuts and cashews)

Remember, all of the above carbohydrates groups should still be taken in severely restricted amounts, your metabolism is not equipped to deal with large amounts of carbohydrates, YOU HAVE AN ILLNESS FOR LIFE don't ever forget it.

Is Low Blood Sugar A Good Sign For Type 2 Diabetes

In my experience, yes it is. This indicates that not only is your pancreas still working but that your blood sugar levels are in a safe range. The circumstances however, are a different story altogether. This may be a sever hypoglycemic reaction to high blood sugar. Your body had thrown out a massive amount of insulin to compensate and as a result it has gone from high to low.

Your best plan of attack it to allow your body to exert its effects naturally. For instance, try going without any carbohydrates in the morning. You will feel a little washed out but nothing compared to a serious hypoglycemic episode that you would have had, had you eaten too many carbs.

If you go without carbs and feel that slightly shaky weak feeling. Don't panic, see it as a good sign, a sign that things are still working. It is from here that you can map out a proper plan of action.

Most Type 2 Diabetic Diets Don’t Work – They Are Dangerous And Misinformed

Not only are most recommended diets “total Bull” when it comes to type 2 diabetes, some of them are downright dangerous and will only serve to keep you diabetic. In addition to this, your condition will only worsen over time, as your pancreas is put under more and more pressure to produce more and more insulin to compensate for your ever growing insulin resistance. Never getting chance to rest and regenerate, your pancreas will eventually exhaust, and it is at this point that you will have exactly the same problems as a type 1 diabetic.

If you had only made a few realistic changes before it was too late and stopped listening to the so called experts that are backed by the companies making the stuff that you are going to be injecting into your arm for the rest of your lives. Yes, look it up people. The stark information is there for anyone who dares to venture onto the google highway.

What Are The Benefits of Biotin

There is a lot of talk about the positive benefits of vitamins and minerals, especially where a type 2 diabetci is concerned. Biotin is one such vitamin, b7 to be precise.
Biotin provides many functions within the body. Carbohydrate metabolism is one of them as well as aiding in the role of amino acids synthesise. Amino acids are quite the literraly the building blocks of the body.
Bioting also helps boost the performance of insulin, the hormone responsible for moving glucose out of the blood stream and into the body's cells for energy. This is the major problem that type 2 diabetics suffer from so anything that helps insulin work more prominently can't be a bad thing.
High doses aren't known to cause any serious side effects but obviously, consult a proffesional before undertaking any change in your diet.

High Protein Low Carbohydrate Diets - How To Still Get Enough Fiber

One of the big problems with high protein low carbohydrate diets is the lack of fiber, or so you would think. There are basically two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble.

Insoluble fiber is the kind you get from cereal and wholemeal breads. It is the kind of fiber that cannot be broken down and ingested by your body, This sort of fiber literally scrapes your bowels as it makes its way out of your body, cleaning them as it goes. It is responsible for moving bulk through the intestines and helps maintain pH balance in the intestines and bowels.

Soluble fiber is entirely different and believed to be far superior. It helps remove bulk through the intestines in less time, maintains pH balance in the intestines and bowels and is believed to help ward off certain types of cancer. It is contained in food such as green veg, fruit, oat products.

Remember that as a type 2 diabetic you should be watching your carb intake and getting most of your fiber from cereals and wheat products only serves to push up your blood sugar levels.
Not so with green veg, you can have as much as you like and you will still be getting adequate and superior forms of fiber in your diet.
